Engineered for the Elements: High-Performance PETG for Outdoor Illuminated Signs

Stop replacing faded and brittle outdoor signs. Our specialty translucent PETG filament is scientifically formulated to withstand UV radiation, moisture, and impact. With a proven impact strength of 42 KJ/m² and tensile strength of 72 MPa, it delivers the unmatched durability and long-lasting light transmission required for professional, commercial-grade signage.

Why This is the Ultimate Filament for Outdoor Signs

UV Resistant & Weatherproof: Specifically formulated to resist yellowing and degradation from sun exposure and moisture, ensuring your signs look new for years.

Superior Impact Resistance (42 KJ/m²): Exceptionally high toughness prevents cracking and damage from accidental impacts or harsh weather conditions, far outperforming PLA and standard PETG.

High Tensile Strength (72 MPa): Offers outstanding structural integrity and durability, preventing signs from deforming or failing under stress.

Optimal Light Diffusion: Provides excellent, uniform light transmission for bright and professional-looking illuminated letters and lightboxes.

Wide Printing Window: Forgiving print profile with a broad temperature and speed range allows for reliable and consistent results every time.

Technical Data & Application-Specific Guide

Key Mechanical Properties:

High Toughness: Impact Strength: 42 KJ/m² - This makes it highly resistant to shattering upon impact.

High Strength: Tensile Strength: 72 MPa - This provides excellent resistance to pulling and stretching forces.

Recommended Settings for Advertising Letters:

Layer Height: For optimal strength and light diffusion in advertising letters, a layer height of 1.2 mm is recommended.

Heat Resistance: Heat Deflection Temperature of 75°C ensures structural stability in hot outdoor environments.

Ideal Applications

Outdoor Illuminated Advertising Letters (Channel Letters)

Commercial Lightboxes & Signage

Architectural Number Panels & Directional Signs

Durable Outdoor Fixtures & Protective Housings

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does this PETG compare to ASA for outdoor use?
A: While ASA has excellent UV resistance, it can be more challenging to print. Our PETG offers a much easier and more forgiving printing experience with very good UV resistance and superior layer adhesion, making it an excellent and user-friendly choice for most outdoor signage applications.

Q: Can I print this without a heated bed?
A: It is not recommended. A heated bed within 55-75°C is crucial for proper adhesion and to prevent warping, especially with large parts.

Q: The printing temperature range is quite high. Why?
A: The range of 240-260°C is optimized for this specific compound to ensure perfect layer bonding and achieve the stated mechanical properties of 42 KJ/m² impact strength and 72 MPa tensile strength.
